When your mom or dad needs senior care, finding them the right senior community and spending precious time with them are top priorities. But paying for that care and the process of selling the home can present major challenges. Even in the best markets, cleaning the stuff out of the house, finding trusted contractors to make repairs, put it on the market and close can take several months. We want to give families those months back so they can spend more time with their loved ones and help them more easily make the transition to senior living.
We are also building a network of referral sources for all different types of needs in the senior industry. We want to be able to provide you with trusted contacts to help you with all phases of the transition into senior living.


Our mission

Our mission is to serve the families of North Texas by offering a simple solution during one of the most stressful times in their life.

When it comes to the senior world, there are many specialists who help seniors solve a specific need. Placement agents specialize in helping find the right senior living community. Home care and companionship companies specialize in improving quality of life at home. Elder law attorneys specialize in all types of law as it relates to seniors. However, there are very few real estate or home buying companies who specialize in working with seniors. Up until now, this left seniors and their families with few options on what to do with the house.

The traditional home sale process is a "one-size fits all" approach that frequently doesn't meet the needs of seniors who are looking for an easy and flexible way to unlock the equity in their home. We are the home buying specialist in the senior industry and bring care and compassion to the home selling process. We shorten the time it takes to get mom or dad the care they need, while increasing the quality time you get to spend with them — time you don't have to spend on things like: cleaning out boxes full of stuff, managing contractors to do repairs, getting the home ready for showings, and more.
So you can focus on family time.

Meet the family

Nick & Nicole Avila are certified Senior Transition Specialists who call Plano, Texas home.

Nick is a native of North Texas, he grew up in Denton and went to school at UNT. Nicole grew up in Albuquerque, went to Texas Tech University, and moved to Dallas shortly after. Nick and Nicole met at a pumpkin carving party in 2019 and were married in the summer of 2021.

Nick has been buying and renovating homes since 2015 and loves to add value to a community by creating great homes for families. He loves working directly with homeowners to help them find a solution that fits their needs.

Together, they combined Nicole’s desire to love and help others with Nick’s real estate experience to create The Family House Company – a family business dedicated to helping seniors and their families have an easier transition through one of the most challenging times in their lives.

When they are not working, Nick and Nicole like to go and try new restaurants around town and spend time with friends and family. They are also members and serve at their local church, CityBridge Community Church in Plano.
